CAD-2-FAB provides sandblasting services for metal parts that need surface cleaning or preparation. Blasting removes rust, old paint, mill scale, and other contaminants that accumulate on metal surfaces. We see a lot of restoration work—old equipment parts, automotive components, structural steel that's been in service for years. The abrasive blasting strips everything down to bare metal, revealing the actual condition underneath and creating a fresh surface for whatever comes next.


The most common application is surface prep before powder coating or painting. Proper adhesion requires more than just clean metal—it needs the right surface profile. The blasting process creates microscopic peaks and valleys that give coatings something to grip. We adjust media type and blast pressure based on the material and desired finish, from aggressive profiles for heavy coatings to lighter textures for thin films.
